IT based TV magazine, popularizing IT in Bangladesh

“ZANALA” is one of the first IT based TV magazines of Bangladesh which was intended to popularize Information Technology among the people of this country. Today ZANALA has crossed that regional barrier and it is entertaining and informing the viewers even outside the country.

The vision of ZANALA is to demand a greater share in the world’s IT industry through increased involvement of our large population by orienting them to various scopes and ways to manipulate IT skills and resources and encouraging popular actions.

The Stop Motion Animated Series

Child entertainment has always been neglected in the broadcast industry of our country over the year. The situation is more or less the same even nowadays. Children of our country have to depend on satellite channels for their enjoyment. ZANALA Bangladesh has recently undertaken a project of Stop Motion Animation to provide the young entertainment as well as education. Stop Motion is today’s animation trend and it is very much liked by the young generation.

The Stop Motion Animation Movie “Kintu” features a boy of our neighborhood. He is around ten years of age and goes to school. He has his family and friends around him to be a part of his daily adventures. The goal of the show is not just entertainment but also to provide the young generation some essential learning.

Stop Motion- this unique animation technique involves a combination of art and technical skill. The little models and its environments have to be carefully made with minute details. The lighting has to be delicate. Human movements have to replicated and put into motion in the little character models. After the careful creation of the environment and the characters, each frame is shot with a still camera. They are digitally retouched and compiled for the final animation. All these images are transferred to animation software and motion is given. Then appropriate voice and sound effects are incorporated. After all these tasks are done, the whole movie is rendered and converted in broadcast format.

The concept of Stop Motion has not been practiced in Bangladesh yet. Moreover there very firms all over the world who are making stop motion. ZANALA Bangladesh had started the research phase for stop motion about a year back and currently it is being implemented. The successful completion of the project will open up a new animation sector in our country which has an international prospect.
